What spiritual adventurers say...

"The ritual we did at Sacsayhuaman to honour Mother Earth on the equinox was moving. The opportunity to have a coca leaf reading with the shaman a few days later was a real bonus." ...Janine and Lisa ...more comments from the 2008 tour

The Sun The Sun
...we watch the pattern of clouds, sun and shadow and become aware of the early morning breeze. We hover in a space beyond time, overwhelmed by a sense of peace and tranquillity. Are those whispered messages from the inhabitants of this ancient place that we hear on the wind? Or is it Llulli flying towards us with a message from the Sun?'

Peru and Bolivia
28 September - 13 October 2009

  • Leave the everyday world behind…
  • Let your mind float free as you connect with nature in the Andes mountains, the Amazon jungle and on the crystal clear waters of Lake Titicaca.
  • Learn about the Incas as you explore Machu Picchu, the towns of the Sacred Valley and the ancient Inca capital of Cusco and the fortress of Sacsayhuaman.

Other tour highlights include:

  • Inca fortress at Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley
  • The floating reed islands of the Uros Indians
  • A homestay on the island of Amantani in Lake Titicaca
  • The witches market in La Paz, the highest capital in the world.

Spiritual activities include...

  • discussions which make connections between the Tarot and what we learn about life in Peru and Bolivia
  • Tarot readings featuring the specially designed  Journey Spread and impromptu tutorials
  • meditations.

Cost: $3,350 per person, twin share
Single supplement: $450
per person
Includes:

  • Tarot mentor, Linda Marson
  • Peregrine’s English-speaking local tour leaders
  • Accommodation and some meals
  • Sightseeing and entrance fees, including two days at Machu Picchu
  • Flight from Lima to Cusco, other land and water transportation
  • Ticket, Passport and Tarot Cards (book and DVD).

Optional extra: two days in the Amazon jungle prior to tour — add $1,150 (incudes domestic airfares and 3 nights accommodation). Due to the nature of accommodation, there is no single supplement for the Amazon Jungle Extension.

Visit the Rainforest Expeditions website to see if this option appeals - everyone did it last year and said they wouldn't have missed it!

Please note that the price does not include an international airfare. Some discount on the overall cost of the tour may be available if international tickets are booked through Peregrine, since domestic flights in Peru could then be booked in conjunction with international flights.

For example, if you book early for the main tour and the jungle extension, you may be able to get an international return flight from Australia which includes all domestic flights in Peru for approximately AUD$2,850 (including taxes). You would then be entitled to a discount of approximately $200 off the tour price. For information on travel options through Peregrine, contact Andrew Dwyer on 1300 854439.

Even though this is a private group tour through Peregrine in Australia, people from anywhere in the world can join the tour and pay in their local currency.
